MEET THE BAND
Rooted in the heart of South Alabama with a dash of Texas grit, Ella Salter and the Sunday Sinners blend Southern-fried soul, Red Dirt Country, and Americana rock into a sound that’s as bold as it is timeless. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Ella Salter, whose voice evokes the raw emotion of Janis Joplin and the storytelling grit of Dolly Parton, the band is known for music that cuts deep and performances that leave a mark.
In 2024, the band released their long-anticipated debut album, funded by a grassroots fanbase that helped raise over $20,000 through a successful crowdfunding campaign. Partnering with Edgewater Music Group of Houston, Texas, the album delivered a genre-defying collection of songs that resonated with listeners and critics alike.
Their breakout single “Pushin’ Up Daisies” earned a coveted spot on Apple Music’s “Best in New Americana” playlist, while “Without You” was named one of the Top 10 Songs of 2024 by Roots Music Rambler. The album’s success helped catapult the band onto a national radar, drawing comparisons to some of Americana’s most enduring voices and solidifying Salter’s place “in the pantheon of country music’s greatest,” as noted by Adobe & Teardrops.
Since forming in 2019, Ella and the Sunday Sinners have played over 200 shows across the Southeast, captivating crowds from the Gulf Coast to Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. With their Trailer Trash Tour hitting the road in 2024, the band continues to build momentum, bringing their signature sound and Southern storytelling to new stages and new fans.
Their live set is a rich mix of two-plus hours of originals, fan-favorite covers from Dolly to Isbell, and mashups that keep audiences on their feet. Equal parts honky tonk and heart, their shows turn first-timers into diehards.
